Marvel Future Revolution Captain Marvel build

Marvel Future Revolution Captain Marvel: build for PvP and PvE

The best Marvel Future Revolution Captain Marvel builds, including ranged DPS options.

Here’s a fun fact: the original Captain Marvel was a Kree soldier actually named “Mar-Vell,” who would occasionally appear on Earth in a military uniform. People kept mispronouncing his name, and eventually he just ran with it. Carol Danvers, the lady we know now as Captain Marvel, was originally Ms. Marvel, a human who gained powers after being exposed to Kree tech. After Mar-Vell retired (or maybe he died, it’s hard to remember sometimes), she took up the mantle of Captain Marvel. Or at least that’s how it all was in the comics, which I guess isn’t important when we’re talking about her MCU-inspired incarnation in Marvel Future Revolution. Speaking of, here are some of the best builds for Captain Marvel in Marvel Future Revolution.

Captain Marvel exists for one thing and one thing only: DPS. DPS in the morning, DPS in the evening, DPS at suppertime. Captain Marvel is all about dealing as much damage in as short a period as possible, expedited by frequent and heavy debuffs on enemy units. When it comes to assembling builds, the amount of damage she deals is immaterial; the real question is how she goes about dealing it.

Energy Impact: Cosmic RechargeStrike the ground to damage and knock down an enemy and restore your Ultimate Skill gauge.
Photon Flight: Hero’s EntranceFly forward to damage enemies in a small area of effect, then strike the ground to deal extra damage.
Photon Energy: Photon AbsorptionCreate an energy explosion around you to damage and knock down foes, then increase your own DEF.
Photon Blast: Photon FocusFocus an energy beam on a single foe to deal massive damage, with additional damage stacked on based on how long the beam is focused on them.

Best Captain Marvel Ultimate Build Specializations

Energy EnhancementBoosts ATK by 20% when a fight lasts longer than 6 seconds.
Energy ConversationIncreases Ultimate gauge recovery when health is above 50%.
Superhuman EnduranceDecreases all damage received by 24% when health is at 30% or less.
Battle AwakeningWhen health is critical, restore 35% of max HP and become invincible for 2 seconds.

This build is all about the slow and steady buildup of power. The ATK buff from Energy Enhancement and DEF debuff on foes from Enforcing Charge will keep foes on their backstep as you push forward, while Energy Conversation and Cosmic Recharge will expedite the recovery of your Ultimate Skill meter.

While you’re waiting for cooldowns, you can maintain the heat with Hero’s Entrance and Photon Focus, and in the event things get hairy, the DEF boosts from Superhuman Endurance and Photon Absorption will keep you on your feet long enough to turn the tables. In an absolute emergency situation, you can rely on Battle Awakening at least once to give you enough time to beat a hasty retreat.

Marvel Future Revolution Captain Marvel Ranged DPS Build:

Best Captain Marvel Ranged DPS Build Skills

Photon Charge: Blast ConeBlast foes with a wide, straight beam that causes an extra damage-dealing explosion near hit enemies and increases the damage they take for a short time.
Energy Impact: Cosmic RechargeStrike the ground to damage and knock down an enemy and restore your Ultimate Skill gauge.
Photon Energy: Photon OverflowPound the ground to create a massive AoE energy blast that deals heavy damage and inflicts knockdown.
Photon Buster: Focal Energy ShotFocus an array of energy blasts on a single enemy to deal massive damage.
Photon Blast: Photon FocusFocus an energy beam on a single foe to deal massive damage, with additional damage stacked on based on how long the beam is focused on them.

Best Captain Marvel Ranged DPS Build Specializations

Photon AccelerationBoosts ATK by 15% when flying and DEF by 15% on the ground.
Energy RetrievalAfter defeating an enemy, the next skill you use within five seconds will have its damage increased by 36%.
Shield NeutralizationIncreases Guard damage of all Cosmic Energy-class skills by 27.5%.
Energy Enhancement Boosts ATK by 20% when a fight lasts longer than 6 seconds.

Why put yourself at risk getting up close and personal when you can deal all the damage you want from a safe distance? This build emphasizes ranged attacks and AoE over close-ranged combat. Contrary to the previous build, this build has virtually no downtime, just blast, blast, blast.

Focal Energy Shot and Photon Focus can be used to focus your output toward a single, stronger target, while Blast Cone, Cosmic Recharge, and Photon Overflow can be used to mop up any straggling jobbers. With the ATK boost from Photon Acceleration, you’re incentivized to stay airborne and at a distance in order to deal the most damage possible, and the 5 second limit of Energy Retrieval encourages you to have at least two skills locked and loaded at any given time.

All of the skills in this kit except for Cosmic Recharge are in the Cosmic Energy class, so they all get that guard damage boost from Shield Neutralization. If you don’t mind laming out for 6 seconds, that extra ATK from Energy Enhancement will put a little extra English on your single-target skills.
