Androids are cool in concept, but in practice, there are a lot of factors you have to consider. Probably the most important factor is how you’re supposed to power the dang things. Luckily, MapleStory provides an answer that’s both functional and practical. Here’s what you need to know about Android Hearts in MapleStory.
MapleStory Android Hearts Guide
Android Hearts are special items you can craft, purchase, or roll, then install into an Android companion. Androids can’t move without a Heart to power them, so they are necessary, but that’s not their only function. Besides activating your Androids, Android Hearts also provide passive stat bonuses, as well as slots you can use for scrolling scrolls. Just about any scroll you can think of can be scrolled in an Android Heart, so long as it’s got the slots for it, which means your Android buddy can make some major stat boosts happen.

The only thing is that the vast majority of Android Hearts are only temporary. They have an explicit amount of time they can be used to power an Android, after which they’ll break down. You’ll need to construct or otherwise obtain more Hearts to power your Android back up. There are a couple of permanent Hearts out there, but they are exceedingly rare, so get used to making a fresh Heart for your Android every so often.
