Which is designed to be more intuitive, as you can use the left analog stick to control exactly where you want the ball to land.

There are also two new passing meters in Madden 23; the power meter and the accuracy meter. Both of which help to provide more control over where and how far you want the ball to go.
Making use of these improved passing mechanics, here’s how to throw all passes in Madden 23:
- Bullet Pass – Press and hold the button assigned to the receiver you wish to throw the ball to.
- Lob Pass – Tap the button assigned to the receiver you wish to throw the ball to.
- Touch Pass – Press and release the button assigned to the receiver you wish to throw the ball to.
- High Pass – Hold L1 while passing (for PlayStation) or LB while passing (for Xbox)
- Low Pass – Hold L2 while passing (for PlayStation) or LT while passing (for Xbox)
Keep in mind that to pump fake in Madden 23, you will need to double tap the receiver button. Also, if you feel the pressure coming and want to throw the ball out of bounds, press on the right analog stick.
