With the western release of Lost Ark, players in North America, Europe, and Latin America can finally jump into Arkesia and experience the MMOARPG first-hand. You will likely have a lot of questions about the game, but there’s no better place to start than understanding how the classes stack up against each other. In this guide, we’ll break down the Lost Ark tier list for all 15 classes in the game.

Before diving into our Lost Ark tier list, it’s important to remember that every class in the game is viable. We put this list together based on how well each one performs on boss fights, killing regular mobs, and overall mobility. Do not base your character picks off this alone because everyone has their own style of play, and you can play whatever class you want. Having a good time is the number one priority!

Lost Ark Tier List

  • S-Tier – Gunslinger, Scrapper Sharpshooter
  • A-Tier – Berserker, Deadeye, Soulfist
  • B-Tier – Artillerist, Deathblade, Paladin, Shadowhunter, Sorceress, Striker
  • C-Tier – Wardancer
  • D-Tier – Bard, Gunlancer

SS-Tier

Gunslinger is one of the toughest classes to master in the endgame, but it can also be the most devastating damage dealer. The Gunslinger is top-notch in killing bosses, destroying trash mobs, and has some all-around great mobility. That’s why it comes in at the number one spot.

S-Tier

Coming up right behind the Gunslinger is the Sharpshooter and the Scrapper. These two classes are nearly perfect, and both easily fall into S-Tier. Sharpshooter gets docked a point for mobility, while the Scrapper is not perfect on boss fights, in our opinion.

A-Tier

Moving on to the A-Tier on our Lost Ark tier list, these classes are all great picks, but they are all missing a bit of mobility. Damage-wise, though, they all stack up to the competition and are top-tier classes in that respective area.

B-Tier

The B-Tier is where most of the game’s classes will fall. Again, they all have excellent damage in terms of boss and trash fights, but they do lack some of that mobility you desire in a fast-paced ARPG like Lost Ark. The B-Tier classes we’ve put in here are Artillerist, Deathblade Paladin, Shadowhunter, Sorceress, and Striker. The Striker and Shadowhunter classes get docked a couple of points for overall damage on trash, but it’s nothing too concerning.

C-Tier

Sitting alone in C-Tier is the Wardancer. It’s a fun class to play, but it lacks mobility and only deals mediocre damage. Again, this is not to say you should definitely not play this class, but if you’re looking to be competitive in the endgame, there are likely some better options out there for you, unless you enjoy the playstyle.

D-Tier

Coming up in last place is the Bard and Gunlancer. While the Bard is one of the most popular classes in Korean servers and one of the only supports, it can be a tough one to play. There’s basically no mobility with the Bard and even less with the Gunlancer. Regardless, both are very fun classes to play, but you’ll want to make sure you know what you’re getting yourself into before diving into them.

Those are our rankings for the Lost Ark tier list. You may disagree entirely, and that’s fine, but it should give you an idea of how each class stacks up against one another. For more related content and guides, check out our Lost Ark section.
