If you love playing support characters, trying to choose a class in Lost Ark may be a bit confusing. Most classes are DPS heavy, and it’s not immediately apparent which ones are considered support. We have collected all of the support classes in Lost Ark for you to review to make the best decision. Lost Ark Support Classes

Out of the 15 potential classes in Lost Ark, there are two traditional support classes, the Paladin and the Bard. Other classes can be spec’d slightly on the support side, but we consider those two proper supports.

Bard – Mage

The Bard is the primary healing class in Lost Ark. Think of the Bard as the priest class in other games. If you’re coming from other MMO’s and you’re looking for a more traditional healing class, the Bard is for you. The Bard is a subclass of the Mage and is a ranged fighter who uses a harp. This class is loaded with heals, buffs, and AOE attacks. Your Serenade of Salvation ultimate is considered by many to be the best heal in the game. 

Paladin – Warrior

If the Bard isn’t your style, you can also play a Paladin. The Paladin, also known as the Holy Knight, is a melee warrior subclass. This class provides a good amount of healing and shields, while the Bard provides more heals and buffs. It also does a bit more DPS than the Bard, but they are still both on the lower end of the DPS scale. 

Remember that you can test out each class before committing to it. After finishing the prologue and speaking with Tristan, you can play around with each class and decide which one you like best. It’s important to note that technically speaking, all classes in Lost Ark are DPS. Even if you decide to play Bard or Paladin, you will still have to dish out the damage to fill your meters and be fully effective.
