Heroes of Arkesia can get ready for the action and preload Lost Ark

Players looking to venture into Arkesia can now preload Lost Ark as of Monday, February 7 at noon Eastern time. The Head Start is open to all players who have purchased any edition of the Founders Pack, whether the Bronze, Silver, Gold, or Platinum packs. Below, we’ve outlined the process you can follow to preload Lost Ark on Steam, including the file size and everything else you need to know.

The Lost Ark preload officially opened at noon Eastern time on February 7. While the game does not officially fully release until Friday, February 11, players who picked up a Founders Pack can jump into the action on Tuesday, February 8. We have the server list available to check out if you want to plan your start with friends, streamers, or anyone else you wish to venture alongside. 

How to Preload Lost Ark on Steam

To preload Lost Ark on Steam, follow these steps:

  1. Launch the Steam client on your computer
  2. Navigate to the Lost Ark store page
  3. Tap on the Pre-Load Game button above the Game Packages section
  4. Select where you would like to install the game
  5. Wait for the download to finish

The process to preload Lost Ark on Steam is much like any other game. However, if you’ve never done a preload before, you may need some guidance. First, open up Steam and then navigate to the store page for Lost Ark. You should see a Pre-Load Game button above where you would typically add the game to your cart. Tap on that button, and you will begin the download and installation process.

The Lost Ark preload file size is 57.1 GB on PC as of February 7, 2022. To ensure the game downloads and installs properly without any issues, we recommend ensuring the hard drive you wish to install it on has the necessary free space. Considering future updates, patches, and other potential changes to the game files, consider freeing up at least 70 GB on your hard drive to start.
