Lewdle Answers – Word of the Day (April 2024)

We've compiled a list of answers for the creative (and 18+) Wordle offshoot, Lewdle!

It can be therapeutic to scream obscenities into the void. I would know — my vocabulary has evolved (devolved?) over the last decade to the point that I have trouble differentiating words you can and cannot say in front of your grandma. In any case, with the sudden outbreak of games based on the hit word game Wordle by Josh Wardle, it’s always been a manner of time before someone corrupted the concept in the best possible ways. Enter: Lewdle.

Recommended Videos

In Lewdle, the concept is largely the same as in Wordle. Players are given six turns to guess a daily mystery word, but the word is intended to be rude, crude, with an attitude. Instead of words being only five letters, now, they can be six.

It likely goes without saying, but if you’re easily offended or upset by nasty words, this game is not for you. There is no shame in that — we all have varying sensibilities and that’s what makes humanity beautiful.

If you consider yourself a fellow degenerate, if you can’t get through a common sentence without cursing, you’ll likely ace this game with flying colors. But, just in case, we here at Gamer Journalist will compile the daily answers for this creative and ingenious Wordle offshoot created by Gary and Leah Whitta, Jenny Johnson, and Adam Nickerson.

Frequently Asked Questions

How to Win in Lewdle

In the same vein as Wordle, you must guess a mystery word, only instead of it being (mostly) SFW, it is now exclusively NSFW.

Who Created Lewdle

Lewdle was created by screenwriter Gary Whitta (Rogue One, The Book of Eli), Leah Whitta, comedian Jenny Johnson, and indie-game developer Adam Nickerson.

Why is Lewdle Six Letters?

Lewdle allows for five OR six letter words, though five-letter guesses will incur a penalty to the lewdness score. If they did not incorporate this rule, it’s possible the total number of words would be somewhat small. Allowing for five letter words in addition to six letter words increases the total number of possibilities!
