Is there New Game Plus in Saints Row? Answered

Crime lives forever.

While half the fun of a Saints Row game is bumming around a huge sandbox and making a nuisance of yourself, the other half are bombastic set piece missions full of one-off gags and character dialogue. The sandbox is there whenever you want, but is there a way to return to missions after you’ve beaten the game? So, is there New Game Plus in Saints Row?

Is there New Game Plus in Saints Row? Answered

Unfortunately, the answer to that is a resounding no. Saints Row does not feature any kind of New Game Plus functionality. While the game does feature multiple save slots for starting new campaign runs, every one of them is completely independent of one another.

Additionally, unlike some previous Saints Row games, the new Saints Row does not feature any way to replay main story missions. Once you finish the game’s story, you can still indulge in side missions, mini-games, and other assorted distractions, but if you were hoping to play a particular mission again, the only way to do is by starting a fresh campaign run from scratch.

Since the game has multiple save slots, you could, in theory, save your game in a different slot before a particular mission if you wanted to play it again. However, doing it in that way would force you to play through the mission as your character was at that particular save. There is no way to return to older missions with late-game abilities or weaponry.
