How To Import Your Boss Factory Character in Saints Row

You made 'em, now use 'em!

Limitless character creation is a bedrock feature for the entire Saints Row series. You can just make a regular-looking dude, sure, but you also have the ability to make 6’8” caveman dressed like a dollar-store knockoff of the Riddler, and by gum, it is your right to do so. If you went to the trouble of carefully customizing a character in the Saints Row Boss Factory, then it’s time to get them into a life of crime. Here’s how to import your Boss Factory character in Saints Row.

The Saints Row Boss Factory is a standalone version of the character creation system that was released for free on the Epic Games Store a couple of months before the release of the main game. It featured all of the same character customization options, including hair, body and facial type, gender, and personality. You could also tinker with a baseline selection of clothes and accessories. You can import them into the main Saints Row game so you don’t have to build them all over again.

If you uploaded your boss character back when you first made them in the Boss Factory, and you’re playing Saints Row on the same account, then your created boss may appear automatically in the Uploaded section of your character creation menu when you first reach it. If it doesn’t show up, or you’re playing the game on a different account, don’t worry, there’s another way to find them.

To import a Boss Factory creation, you’ll first need to open up the Boss Factory and go to the Share and Import Bosses menu, followed by Manage and Share Bosses. You should see the boss you created, so click on them, followed by the share code option. This will provide a unique alphanumeric code that can be used to find and identify your created character, so write that down.

In the main Saints Row game’s character creator menu, switch to the Community tab, and click on Community Sharing. There should be an option here that allows you to search for created bosses using a code, so click on that, enter the code you wrote down, and your created boss should pop up for you to save and use.

One last note: if you don’t import your created boss on your first character creation screen in the game, you’ll need to wait until you unlock the Style app in your phone menu before you can do it. You’ll receive this feature after completing the early-game mission Morning Commute.
