Is There Fall Damage in Hogwarts Legacy?

OUCH! That hurt!

In games, we get to live the life we’ve always wanted. In games, we get to do the things no one thought possible. But, unfortunately, doing those things can sometimes result in realistic consequences. Thus is the conceit behind fall damage. In the real world, sure; you can jump off a cliff or fall down a flight of stairs, but … it’s going to hurt. The same can be said in certain games. You’re awarded a certain amount of freedom to do whatever you’d like … but there’s no guarantee said freedom won’t have consequences.

That brings us to the question of the day: does the recently released Hogwarts Legacy have fall damage? It makes sense, in a game set within a world where you can fly through the skies, that you could fall and hurt yourself (or worse, be expelled). But it would also make sense if that wasn’t the case, it being a world fueled by magic and all. Read on to learn if consequences exist for falling in Hogwarts Legacy.

Is There Fall Damage in Hogwarts Legacy?

It would seem that Hogwarts Legacy does indeed have fall damage. But, it looks like the game is layered in that regard. For example, you won’t take the same amount of damage for each fall, and height may be a factor. So, if you foresee a particular adventure being filled with falls, it might be for the best to prepare yourself with a full stock of healing potions and other useful items.
