Is There a Secret Ending in Choo Choo Charles?

No one has found a secret ending yet, but the evidence implying the existence of one is mounting. There are many reasons why fans are speculating about a possible secret ending, but the most damning piece of evidence is undoubtedly a certain image that was uploaded to Steam by the game’s developer. This image has left thousands of fans with questions that have, so far, gone unanswered. The certain image in question is a screenshot of Eugene admiring a fully upgraded train saying “That’s what I’m talking about!“.

Anyone who is familiar with the game is aware that Eugene, one of Choo Choo Charles’s most beloved characters, dies very early in the game. Anyone familiar with the game should also be aware that you’re not able to fully upgrade your train until the very end of the game. So how could this screenshot exist if Eugene dies in the beginning, far before you’re even able to upgrade your train at all? If this image is indeed a screenshot of actual gameplay footage, it would prove that there is a secret ending in which Eugene lives in the game.

It could be argued that this image was merely fabricated by the developer, and is not a screenshot of any actual gameplay. However, uploading this image to Steam would admittedly be an odd choice for the developer to make, as it would mislead thousands of potential customers. Furthermore, why would the developer not displace the rumors and discourse that this one little image has created (unless it’s actually a screenshot of a second ending)?

Another reason fans are curious about a second ending is all of the mysteries that go unsolved in Choo Choo Charles’s storyline, such as: How did Warren Charles III know that the giga-spider eggs were on the island? What happened to all of the people that were evacuated? What was the deeper meaning behind all of the mysterious drawings? There was obvious work put into inserting these little details in the game, it wouldn’t make sense for all of them to simply go unanswered with a single open-ended conclusion.

No one has discovered a secret ending in Choo Choo Charles yet, but there is a lot of evidence that consistently suggests there could be. And even if there isn’t actually a secret ending (tragic), Choo Choo Charles’s developer has expressed his desire to release one or more DLCs for the game in the future, which may answer many of the burning questions outlined in this article.
