What is that Plasteel stuff, anyway?

Warhammer 40K: Darktide is a game contains a hell of a lot of mayhem, chaos, and… Plasteel? During your adventures in the hive world, you would most likely have come across Plasteel, either in a container or out on a surface. At the end of your mission, this Plasteel then transfers into your inventory, seemingly without use. Well, fret not, as here is how to use Plasteel in Warhammer 40K: Darktide.

How to use Plasteel in Warhammer 40K: Darktide

Plasteel, firstly, is a very common crafting ingredient in Warhammer 40K: Darktide. Part of the crafting mechanic to improve your gear, it is very import and vital to your prolonged success.

Finding Plasteel

Plasteel can commonly be found whilst on missions. You will find it when opening some containers or you may even find it out in the open. Plasteel, whether a large or small supply, are marked by a tool insignia to better be located.

When the mission comes to an end, the grand total of plasteel gathered, by each of the operators, will get added up and then each operator will receive that same amount. There is no dividing. If the total Plasteel found was 100, then every operator will receive 100.

So don’t worry about your Plasteel getting robbed from you, it all goes to the same pit.

Using Plasteel

When you reach Trust Level 4, you will have access to the Shrine of the Omnissiah, located in the right wing, across from the Psykhaniam. A cutscene will indicate this access.

Go over there and interact with it, and you will be guided to the Shrine of the Omnissiah menu, where you can perform a variety of functions.

Namely, you can improve your gear using two materials, one being Plasteel. Make sure to keep an eye out for the stuff as without it, your gear will remain weak and basic. Improving your gear not only makes it stronger, but increases the rating, rarity, and gives it a blessing, or perk.

Navigate and explore the menus, as you will be able to significantly improve your wargear.
