How to Upgrade Weapons in Fortnite Chapter 2

The new weapon system makes upgrading weapons fairly easy. You can use materials you collect throughout the game to upgrade weapons now. So hang on to those gray weapons, because you can upgrade them to green or blue items later on.

To do this, you need to find an upgrade bench. You can click on the bench to upgrade your weapons to a rarity of your choice. Make sure you have collected enough materials to upgrade, as each one is going to cost more materials.

If you want to improve a weapon from grey to green, you will need 50 of each wood, brick, and metal. If you want to go from a green to blue, you will need 150 wood, brick, and metal. Each tier will cost more and more materials.

This new system makes collecting resources even more important, as there is now another way to spend them rather than just spamming builds in the end game. Now you don’t have to rely solely on RNG to find a good weapon, so that is definitely a plus.
