How to Unlock The Ford F5 Dually Custom Hot Rod in Forza Horizon 5: Hot Wheels

This car is a showstopper.

Though Forza Horizon 5: Hot Wheels boasts some fantastic new cars such as the Baja Bone Shaker and the Deora II, there are a few older vehicles that managed to make their way into this expansion from Forza Horizon 4’s Hot Wheels DLC. One of those great cars is the Ford F5 Dually Custom Hot Rod. Though a rust-bucket at first glance, this car is wicked on the tracks. This is an easy car to unlock, and we’ll explain how to do it in Forza Horizon 5: Hot Wheels.

Similar to the Nash Metropolitan Custom, this vehicle can be won via an in-game challenge. Additionally, you can win it via Wheel Spins though owning the DLC means that you don’t have to wait for luck to be on your side in order to add this vehicle to your garage. Just like how you would have been awarded the Nash Metro Custom for completing the first of the Hot Wheels: A History of Speed challenges, this one will have you complete the second in order to cash in on another new car. Let’s get into it!

To take part in the event you need to have completed the Rookie Rank enough to be moved onto Pro Rank. After that, you’ll need to do the Pro qualifier event which will also give you the Deora II vehicle which is a superb piece of machinery.

After having completed the qualifier, you’ll be able to, yet again, race in a whole new slew of challenges in order to win prizes such as cosmetics for your driver and some new cars. One such event is the Hot Wheels: A History of Speed – The Iconic OrangeTrack.

Similar to the last one, this challenge will have you take on new objectives to complete as well as give you some backstory on Hot Wheels’ legacy. Just as the name suggests, it’ll be on the orange track Hot Wheels fans have come to know and love.

This challenge is broken into 2 parts. The first is simply a race to the finish where you’ll want to beat the clock. Easy enough. The second is another easy feat as all you need to do is pick up a bunch of speed in your vehicle and jump through a ring of fire, gaining as much distance as humanly possible.

Both of these goals are easy to achieve, and the whole thing should only take you around 5 or so minutes to complete in total. Once finished, you can then redeem your reward of the Ford F5 Dually Custom Hot Rod by heading to the main menu, then the Pro Rank tab, and finally within the Major Missions section.

The Ford F5 Dually Custom Hot Rod is a fantastic car to see in this livery of cars for the expansion, giving the list even more character. Good luck earning it!
