Mario Kart Tour has been out for roughly two days now, and we’ve been playing it non-stop since release. The first tour in Mario Kart Tour is in New York, and Pauline is the special featured character. If you don’t know who Pauline is, she was Mario’s first love before Princess Peach.

How to Unlock Pauline in Mario Kart Tour

Mario Kart Tour has a feature called “firing the pipe”, which is essentially randomized loot boxes. Each tour, special drivers, karts, and gliders will be added to the loot tables. For the New York Tour, Pauline is one of the special drivers you can find in the pipe.

This means you have to get lucky and fire a few pipes in hopes of finding her. Looking at the details of the pipe, Pauline has just a tiny bit over 1% chance of being found. Unfortunately, this is a pretty low chance but you could always get lucky and find her on your first try.

Each driver comes with their own special ability. Pauline’s is called Lucky 7, and she surrounds her cart with seven items and launches them all at once. If you are dying to get your hands on Pauline, you might want to try a reroll and see if you can get lucky.
