Animated cartoonishly, this game puts you in a vast city that you can conquer by skating, jumping, sliding, and drawing across it. However, to be completely successful, you need a good crew.
Unlocking characters has been sort of a mystery for players of Bomb Rush Cyberfunk, as the game hasn’t really given any clear guidance on how you can unlock them. How to Recruit All Characters in Bomb Rush Cyberfunk?
There will be dozens of characters that you can recruit in Bomb Rush Cyberfunk, but all of them will require you to do at least one and often a set of challenges before joining you. We’ll list them all and then go through them 1 by 1 and explain what you need to do to get them to be on your side. Keep in mind that you will need a rep of over 100 to complete most of these recruitments.

Special:
- Base and Jay
Rave
You will be able to recruit Rave in the subway station of the Verdum Hills. You need to beat 3 of her challenges before you can recruit her. After completing her initial challenge, follow her to the bazaar area and beat her score. She will then move to the hideout. Find her there and win a race that she challenges you to and finally, she will talk to you about joining you.
Shine
To get Shine, you need to go to the food court area of the Millennium Mall (the second area). The first challenge you will face there is to copy her dance. After that, follow her to the second floor of the food court and then proceed to the record store where you’ll receive her text telling you that she’s in the Theater Hall.
Now, travel to the third floor of the food court to receive yet another message from her. She’ll signal you to find her at the warehouse, near the food court where you first found her. Talk to her there and she’ll be recruited.
Vinyl, Solace
Vinyl, and will be recruited by completing the main storyline so there isn’t anything special you need to do to get these characters.
Mesh
Find Mesh on a big platform with teal tiles in Brink Terminal. Talk to him, complete his challenge, and then proceed to find him near a tall tower in the area. He will dare you to beat him in a score battle. Beat him again, find a tunnel next to the canal, and go through it to the bridge.
Mesh will tell you that he lost his skateboard and that you need to drain the canal to help him. You will be able to do that by going through an entrance an Oldhead is guarding (140 Rep needed) and then grinding on a billboard towards the control room. After you complete this task Mesh will join your crew.
Rise
You’ll find Rise at the far entrance of Pyramid Island and the first thing you’ll need to do is take some pictures of her with your phone. After you are done, you need to go ahead and climb the bridge above her and then she’ll text you telling you that you need to climb to the top of the whole construction. You’ll find her near a spiral where she will again ask you to take photos of her.
As a last challenge, she will ask you to tag a spot. Once you do that she will be unlocked for you to recruit.
Coil
Go into an alley in Mataan and look around for Coil. Once you find him, your first task will be to imitate his dance. After that head over to the big gold statue and you’ll get a text that he is on the island in the Mataan River. When you arrive there, you won’t find him and need to walk to the entrance of the strip where you’ll receive another SMS from him saying that he is in Mataan again.
Following this small chase, you’ll finally get into a challenge with him. Go into the golden statue and you’ll find him dancing on your left. He will challenge you to a race, and when you win he will offer to join you.
Flesh Prince
Flesh Prince will also be in Mataan in his base with the slider entrance. Do the popping dance once you talk to him and he will join you.
Frank
Frank will be chilling at the top of the Verdum Hills in the main plaza. He will have one challenge for you in which you need to beat him to get him to join.
Rietveld
To get Rietveld you need to go to the basketball court, next to Frank’s hideout. You will have a boss fight with the police that you need to complete there before you can talk to her. Once you beat the police drone and other on-foot police officers, you will be able to recruit Rietveld.
Futurism
Futurism will be hanging out next to the big golden statue in Mataan. Complete the challenge that she gives you and she will be glad to join you.
DOT EXE
To get DOT EXE, head out to the Theater Hall and you’ll find him at the entrance. Complete his flow challenge to get him to join you!
DJ Cyber
Grind the billboards in the Millennium Square to climb to a skyscraper where you can find DJ Cyber. He will give you a score challenge that you need to beat before he will join you.
Eclipse
You will find Eclipse in the Brink Terminal. Simply enough, you just need to complete her one challenge to unlock her.
Devil Theory
Devil Theory will take you back to the second level of the Pyramid Island. All you have to do is complete his challenge and he will gladly join you.
Oldhead
You will get Oldhead by tagging every single graffiti spot in the city. It might not be the fastest challenge that you can complete but it is certainly one of the most straightforward ones.
Felix and Red
After you beat the game, you will be able to find both Felix and Red on any dancefloor.
Base and Jay
Base and Jay can be unlocked only if you buy the $5 DLC called Bomb Rush Cyberfunk DLC – Base & Jay.
