How to Turn Off Nudity in Baldur’s Gate 3 (BG3)

Baldur’s Gate 3 is finally here and it is taking the RPG world by storm. In a huge part thanks to its great worldbuilding and character storylines. But also for some NSFW content that has caught some players off guard in rather particular situations, to say the least. Don’t worry though, if you would like to avoid seeing that type of content in BG3, here is how to turn off nudity in Baldur’s Gate 3.

How to Turn Off Nudity in Baldur’s Gate 3

Whether you don’t want to see nudity during your playthrough or you are one of those victims of the “Hide Clothes” debacle in Twitch, turning off nudity in Baldur’s Gate 3 is rather simple. You even have two opportunities to do so:

  • If you run the game for the first time, you will be prompted by a screen that will ask you about explicit content, aka nudity. You can choose Yes or No to whether you’d like to see mature or explicit content during your gameplay.
  • If you want to turn off nudity after you have already started your game, click ESC and click on Options. Then select the Gameplay and head to the User Options section. There are two options regarding explicit content:
    • Show Genitals: This option will show or hide genitals whenever a character undresses.
    • Show Cinematic Nudity: This will determine whether nudity is shown during cutscenes.

By turning off nudity in Baldur’s Gate 3, you will completely avoid having issues while streaming and some rather uncomfortable conversations that include the “but honey, it’s just a video game” phrase. You don’t need to thank us.
