How to Have a Romance in Baldur’s Gate 3?

In order to get your character to have sex with another NPC in Baldur’s Gate 3, all you have to do is get close to them with time. This includes taking their opinions into consideration, doing actions that they approve of (and avoiding doing what they disapprove of), helping them in their personal pursuits, and having deeper conversations with them. Not long after, romance dialogue options will appear in your conversations that will eventually lead to sex.

Focus on One Lover

We advise that you focus on one character instead of trying to enter into a romance with a couple of them at once. As mentioned above, an NPC that you’re trying to seduce will need to have a really highly positive opinion of you before even a hint of a romance can be displayed. Now, different characters have different worldviews so it’s impossible to please everyone. By default, if you perform an action that one of your companions likes, the other(s) will hate it.

Starting a Romance in Camp

Even though the NPC that you’re trying to take to bed will take into consideration everything you do during the main campaign to create an opinion, the Camp is the main place where you can deepen your connection with them. When taking a Long Rest in the Camp, chat up the NPC that you want to become closer with. After you have scored enough positive points with them, a romantic dialogue will start to appear in your conversations.

Once you engage in a romance with an NPC of your choice, more and more options will unlock and in the end, your character will get an option to have sex with them.
