The animals you find around the map can drop animal bones and meat if you kill them, but did you know you can also tame them to fight by your side? How to Tame a Boar in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6
Follow these steps to tame a boar in Fortnite:
- Craft a Hunter’s Cloak
- Walk up to a boar and interact with it
The first step is to craft a Hunter’s Cloak, which requires a few materials. You’ll need to collect two pieces of animal bones and one piece of animal meat. These can come from boars, wolves, or chickens, or you can harvest the larger bones lying around the map. Once you have the materials, open up your crafting menu, make a Hunter’s Cloak, and equip it. The item makes it so that animals are no longer hostile toward you.
Wearing the Hunter’s Cloak, you can go somewhere like the pig pen at Colossal Crops to tame a boar. Refer to the map above if you’re unsure of the pig pen location. The animals should no longer try to fight you when you get near them, so don’t worry about that. Simply walk up behind them, and press your interact key for about three seconds to tame one of them.
