With Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 5 underway, players are busy completing the first set of challenges. One of the more confusing challenges in the list is to speak with a character. There are actually dozens of characters scattered around the map, making this season feel a little more RPG than usual. We’ll go over one example, so you know how to complete this one quickly. How to talk to a character in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 5
For this challenge, you need to talk to a character three times in Fortnite. As we mentioned, there are many them around the map, but you can speak with the same one three times. Doing this requires you to load into three different matches, though.
One easy character to talk to is Menace in the Colossal Coliseum. All you need to do is land in the area, locate the NPC, and interact with them to get credit for the challenge. You can do this by pressing E on PC or square on the controller. Here’s Menace’s location on the Fortnite map, and he patrols the entire Coliseum area.
You can talk to any character with a speech bubble above their head. The icon lets you easily distinguish them from hostiles and other non-interactable characters. Again, feel free to visit three different locations in a single match or talk to the same character three times in three different games.
