For those wanting to both identify the Entity Type and perform an Exorcism, this guide will show you all you need to know in beating Cyclone St in Demonologist.

Cyclone St Map Overview

Unlike Abandoned House which is simply separated into a standard House with 3 floors, Cyclone St is much more complex. With a two Houses in one in that the House is divided into two sides, one of which is a clean, lived-in House, the other is a derelict, spoiled and destroyed House following on from the Living Room and Kitchen. The horror therefore is divided into two separated settings, with the Derelict House being far creepier than that of the Normal House. However, the Entity Room can be located anywhere within Cyclone St, including the interior of the Derelict part of the House. Players therefore should never feel safe, even within the Normal side of the House as these hold various scares and Easter Eggs within if you want to test out yours and your friends courage.

The goal of course is the same, identify the Entity Type and successfully perform an Exorcism. But there are differences across these Maps, from their jumpscares to the specific Objectives you must hit in order to Exorcise. In the case of Cyclone St, players must locate the Ghost’s Time of Death and input it into the Wall Clocks. These however only spawn in once the Time of Death is located and can be found anywhere within Cyclone St.

What Tools to Take

Unlike the Abandoned House, players only need the Ectoplasma Glass to hit the primary Optional Objectives that appear in Cyclone St which is to locate the Time of Death of the Ghost. Cyclone St is filled with many references to classic horror stories such as Bloody Mary and films such as Se7en. Whilst these can give players good scares, they are not necessary to partake in, in order to beat Cyclone St. For these reasons, we highly recommend that the usual EMF Reader and Spirit Box is taken into the game and used at the beginning of the round. These can be used to find the Entity Room. We recommend these instead of the Ouija Board as these do not provoke the entity in any way.

Players need to bring in a Flashlight, in fact we recommend this item over the Candle, although a Candle can keep your sanity high. If you do not use your Microphone to read out the various Easter Eggs located around the House, you will reduce your chances of provoking the entity’s wrath. So in this case, you do not need to bring in Equipment such as Candles, Sanity Pills, Crucifix or Tripod Cameras. These act as ways of keeping your sanity in check, but for this Map, we do not recommend these taking up space in your Inventory. However, if you are playing with friends, you can designate someone to carry those Safety Items, especially Sanity Pills and the Crucifix.

Avoid using anything that could provoke the entity further such as the Ouija Board, Tarot Cards or Voodoo Doll. In the case of you trying to survive and get the identity of the entity as quickly as possible to move onto the Exorcism, it is best to simply use the most default Tools in Demonologist. These are EMF, Spirit Box, ESG, Canvas Easel, Ecto Glass and UV Light. Using this set of Equipment will allow you to very quickly tick or scratch off Entity Types from the Evidence List, allowing you to figure out what the entity is around the 5-10 minute mark. Do not worry about bringing in the Thermometer as you can tell if a room is freezing via speaking into the Mic and noting if you can see your breath in a cold room.

How to Beat Cyclone St

Upon entering Cyclone St, whether or not you are playing this Map as a Solo Ghost Hunter or with friends, you should immediately utilize the Spirit Box. This will allow you to either tick or scratch off a ton of entities from the Evidence List. Regardless of if you get a response or not, use the EMF Reader to locate the Entity Room. Whilst this can be done through waiting patiently for paranormal activity, you can also find this room using EMF. This will also give you another way of ticking off EMF 5 Reading, if you observed this in the match.

Next, utilize the Ecto Glass. This item is crucial for Cyclone St for its Optional Objective of locating the Time of Death for the Ghost. However, with the most recent update v0.3.0, random Optional Objectives have been added into the game, providing more spontaneity and change across the matches as the same Objectives and Entity Types can get rather repetitive after continuous playthroughs. The Ecto Glass is needed to locate the white plasma stains that can appear on the walls of the House. You need to peer into the Glass to find any presence of the glowing white stains. These can be found anywhere in the House and not solely within the Entity Room.

For further investigation, place the ESG Device and Easel Canvas within the Entity Room. These are important evidence gathering Equipment and both require your full attention. This is when it is highly likely that your sanity will drop. In these cases you can bring the Tripod Camera to oversee both Tools as you cannot miss the ESG Device Reading of the entity’s image showing itself temporarily in the room. Of course, staying in HQ will not keep your sanity high, nor completely stop it from depleting. For this reason, it should only be used when looking at the ESG and Easel Canvas. Finally, use the UV Light against any walls and doorways for Fingerprints.

For those who have yet to see all of these new randomized Objectives, this is our guide on how to beat them.

  • Upload Files to Laptop USB – Locate the Laptop on the Desk beside the Kitchen and interact to upload the files onto the USB.
  • Lost Note Locations – on the Toilet in the Bathroom, on the TV Stand in the Upstairs Bedroom, on the floor in the Upstairs Files Room, in front of the Kettle in the Kitchen, beside Chair in Derelict Bedroom and on the floor of the Derelict Living Room.
  • Pentagram Locations (stand in the spot for approximately 30 secs) – Upstairs Bedroom, Living Room and Derelict Living Room.
  • Locate and Stew 3 Rats in Cauldron (randomized) – under Staircase of the House Entrance, on Clothes Hamper in Bathroom, on floor of Upstairs Bedroom Closet, on floor of Bloody Mary Bathroom, next to Couch in Office, near Kitchen Counter on the floor, on Egyptian Statues Desk in Derelict Entrance Hallway, floor of Derelict Bedroom and Derelict Living Room.
  • Salt Locations (randomized) – on floor of Bathroom, floor of Lust Purse Closet, floor of Infant’s Room, floor of Bloody Mary Bathroom, floor of Files Room, next to Couch in Living Room, on Kitchen Counter, on floor of Derelict Bedroom, on floor of Derelict Living Room.
  • Catch Ghost Orbs – found floating around the House, use B to catch them. Utilize confined and narrow spaces and wait for the Orb to come to you.

How to Survive Cyclone St

Cyclone St is a much darker atmosphere than Abandoned House, with an entire section of the House submerged into darkness. Players will need to head into the Derelict side of the House to hit Optional Objectives, locate the Wall Clocks and if brave enough, attempt to open Maria’s Room. However, for those just trying to identify the entity and Exorcise the demon, your best bet is to stick to the most basic of Tools listed above and stick to the Normal side of the House to find the Entity Room. Of course, the room can be on the other side of Cyclone St and if that becomes the case, be sure to regularly leave the House and go back to HQ to maintain your Sanity Levels.

Avoid the use of Equipment that could massively damage your sanity such as the Ouija Board which can cut your sanity in half, or by standing in a dark space for too long, witnessing the paranormal activity. You should be regularly moving around the House and not staying within a spot for too long. You need only to stand when observing the ESG Device. In the case of the still Easel Canvas, you can return to the Entity Room at a later point to observe your findings. Alternatively, use a Tripod Camera to record the data. Sanity Pills may provide you with more support if you are a Solo Ghost Hunter due to Sanity Levels dropping at a faster rate than in the Abandoned House. You could also scatter Candles around in the Normal House so that you can regularly return to instead of heading all the way back to HQ.

When you are looking for the Time of Death of the Ghost, be sure to go through the House with the Ecto Glass within the Normal side of the House only, standing in the centre of every room and scanning all of the walls. You will likely find the Time of Death however within Upstairs Side Rooms. However it is not guaranteed as the spawns are randomized. The Time of Death will appear in a large white font and with the time in mind, locate the 3 Wall Clocks around the House to input the time. By doing so this will perform the Exorcism at the chime of the Clock after correctly inputting the Time of Death into all 3 Wall Clocks. You can at this point, leave the scene and return to Base to enter a new match and reap the rewards.
