How to Use ESG in Demonologist

Blink and you'll miss it

Just how far will you go to uncover the darkest mysteries within the most haunted places? In Demonologist, you will have more than enough opportunities to test your bravery, whether you are a solo Ghost Hunter or working with a team. But beware, make sure that you always have your wits about you as the entity could be anywhere and they do not welcome your presence. The aim of the game is to uncover the entity’s identity and if you are resilient and strategic, you will be more than prepared to take on an exorcism when the time is right. But how do you identify the entity type? Well, that is where your Loadout comes in. The various Tools available in Demonologist will allow you to conduct observations and one of these is the ESG Device. This is our guide on how to use the ESG in Demonologist.

What is the ESG Device?

The ESG Device is one of your primary Tools that you should be using in every match of Demonologist. It is a useful Tool that provides visual evidence of the entity’s presence. If you get a good enough look, you can identify its type purely by paying attention to its appearance when captured in the ESG. But be aware that you must always be paying attention to the ESG’s observation once you have placed this item down to start your experiment. The reason for this is that the ESG temporarily captures the entity in a static state, meaning that the entity is no longer there but an image is taken as proof of its existence. If you are not paying close attention to the feed, you will miss the entity, making the ESG useless in unmasking the entity’s identity.

How to Use ESG in Demonologist

To use the ESG Device, equip it so that you are holding it in your right hand. Go to the spot which holds the most paranormal activity. This can be found via the EMF Device or the Spirit Box, although the ESG can too be used to find the Entity Room. But we highly recommend locating the Entity Room by using the EMF Device. To use the ESG Device, all you need to do is place the item on the ground by interacting with the spot where you want the Device placed. The Device will be in action, where all paranormal activity will increase tremendously, try and pay attention however to the area directly above the Device as this is where the entity will make its appearance.

We recommend that when using the ESG, you either have Candles equipped to keep your sanity intact or, you place a Tripod Camera down to record your findings via HQ. If you are playing with teammates it is best to plant the Device in the spot with the most action and then place the Tripod Camera in line of the ESG and have your teammate comm if they notice the entity on the camera feed. This will save you from losing unnecessary sanity for the sake of trying to take a quick image of the entity.
