Thankfully, you won’t lose progress when you’re playing the game. You can breathe. The only downside to this save function is that it’s auto-save only. That means you can’t manually save your game. Whether you’re cooking food and you need to hop off real quick or you need to do something else, be careful setting your game aside. We suggest you reach a certain point in the game, wait for it to automatically save, and then you can exit.

How do you know it’s automatically saving? On the left side of your screen you will notice a notification that says your game is saved. This happens quite frequently! When you’re going to a new area, after you’ve destroyed enemies, and when you’ve picked an item up. With how frequent it saves you don’t have to worry about losing your progress.

If you want to feel safer over the idea of losing your progress try clicking the menu button and click the cog. This will have a “leave game” button. It’s better than closing out your app and guessing it will save everything with no problem.
