Having a great army filled with very courageous men sometimes is not what will determine your victory. No, no, you see, there are some things that outweigh armies and that is, of course, the diplomacy game. Politics, who would have known that! And that is something that differentiates this game from the other RPGs of the bunch. Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord will see you taking part of big battles across the land, but also interacting with the most powerful lords and leaders in the world. Here is how to recruit clans in Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord.

How to Recruit Clans in Bannerlord

So, you won’t have to talk to clans in order to recruit them. Of course, not. You will have to play the political game with clan leaders, you know, the ones that lead clans (duh). As soon as you convince them to join you, they will come to your aid as a complete clan. Go figure that! Anyway, you will have to talk to the clan leader and speak with them. Tell them you have something to discuss. Pick the “Your liege, … , is not worthy of your loyalty”. Then, you will have to convince the clan leader to join you based on some factors. These are the following:

  • Fiefs owned by clan leader: the more they own, the lower the chance for them to join you.
  • Current faction power: the stronger they are, the lower the chance for them to join you.
  • Relationship with faction leader: the better the relationship with the faction leader, the lower the chance for them to join you.
  • Relationship with you.

So, basically, these factors mean how much you are going to pay them (bribe them) in order for them to change their allegiance towards you. That’s the way the world works, so you better save up for some money. Once you do, pay up, and you will have a force to be reckoned with. Good luck with the politics game. Who would have guessed that the name of the game was money!
