The release of Terraria’s Journey’s End update has been years in the making and now that it’s out, there is a slew of new features available. Veterans of the game have especially been looking forward to the new Journey and Master modes, the biggest shake-up to the Terraria formula yet!
What is Journey Mode in Terraria?
The new Terraria Journey Mode allows the player to completely customize their Terraria experience. There will be new UI elements on the left side of the screen that gives players access to modify various elements of their world. Journey Mode essentially makes the player a god allowing them to control
- The weather
- Enemy Difficulty
- Spawn Rates
- And much more!
It’s pretty much Terraria with cheat codes. This new Terraria mode should prove to add even more creativity and replayability to the game.
What is Master Mode in Terraria?
If Journey Mode makes you feel like a god, the new Terraria Master Mode makes you feel like an ant. Master mode increases the difficulty past Expert making every enemy something to be feared. Along with the enemies being tougher, players will now lose 100% of their gold upon death. There is also exclusive loot for players able to overcome the challenge. Give this mode a try if you feel like you are up for a true challenge.
