How to Manually Light Fireplaces in Disney Dreamlight Valley

It's getting cold outside!

Gameloft’s ever-growing life sim title, Disney Dreamlight Valley has yet to stop continuing building on its greatness since its early access release at the tail-end of the summer. One thing that many players have enjoyed since the game’s inception is decorating their expanding houses with furniture, fixtures, and other great centerpieces in order to make their house a home.

But one thing that is sure to make any player warm and fuzzy is a nice big fireplace. But if you’re stumped on why your fireplace isn’t lit, then we can explain how to fix that. Let’s talk about how to manually light fireplaces in Disney Dreamlight Valley today!

When it comes to lighting fireplaces in Disney Dreamlight Valley, it actually isn’t that difficult to do overall. To begin, you simply need to own a fireplace, of course. Then, head inside your house. Once there, open your inventory and head to the Furniture tab, then the Utilities category. From there, you’ll be able to select your fireplace. Next, go ahead and place it somewhere in your house.

After you’ve done that, you’ll be able to walk up to your fireplace and turn it on by pressing your action button. You’ll see your character move their arm toward it and the fire will begin to burn. You can also interact with it once it’s on, to then turn it off again. Your character will carry out the same animation and the fire will go out.

It’s important to point out though that there are several different fireplaces that you can acquire in Disney Dreamlight Valley that simply won’t allow you to interact with them. For some reason, these fireplaces just won’t let you turn them off or on at all and will have a fire burning whether you like it or not. It hasn’t been stated whether this is a bug or not. So far, the one that I own that works this way is the “Cozy Fireplace” which is Goofy-themed.

So, now you’ve got all the knowledge you need about how you can manually light fireplaces in Disney Dreamlight Valley, as well as how to put them out too.
