Guide for Creating a Wooden Platform in Tears of the Kingdom

Before you get into platform making in TotK there are a couple of things you’ll need first: stone axe and Ultrahand ability. The stone axe is a great tool for chopping down wood and getting those logs in your possession while the Ultrahand ability allows you to manipulate objects to your will, and connect them to one another. If you don’t have the Ultrahand ability you will get it by completing one of the initial Shrines in the game.

So, when you have the abovementioned elements go ahead and chop wood with a stone axe and make yourself some logs. Put them next to each other with the Ultrahand ability and that will automatically make them stick one to another (until you remove them again). Put as many logs as you want, depending on how big of a platform you need.

Making a Boat in Tears of the Kingdom

If you want to have a mini-boat or a raft you just need to add a shipmast on top of your wooden platform and there you go. Just drop the whole raft with Ultrahand into the water and you won’t have to spend your stamina anymore to cross the lakes.

Building a Small Bridge or a Crossing in Tears of the Kingdom

In case you want to have a bridge and make your move around a certain area faster, you can make a bridge. However, since big bridges would require a lot of logs spent, try making your improvised crossing by connecting logs vertically instead of sticking them to each other horizontally. This way you would use fewer logs and get a long narrow path that you can then use to reach your desired point.
