New World is a massively multiplayer online game where your character’s skills come from your weapons instead of choosing a class. One of the weapon choices is bows, but you will need some arrows to use it. This guide will show you how to make and get arrows and projectiles in New World.
How to make arrows in New World
To make arrows in New World, you will need to find the town’s Worksop. Open up your map by pressing M and look for the workshop icon. The icon is a crossed gun and arrow. Under the Ammunition menu, you will find the most basic arrow to craft the Flint Arrow. Here are the crafting materials you will need:
- 5 Flint
- 2 Green Wood
- 3 Feathers
All of these materials are easy to find. Flint can be found in almost all shallow water. Green Wood is everywhere in the form of bushes and young trees. Feathers can be found by killing and skinning turkeys, which are scattered all over. Feathers will be the most important material for the craft of arrows since they will be used to craft each different type of arrow. Whenever you craft an arrow, it will produce 50 arrows at a time.
As you progress, you will be able to craft better and better arrows.
- Flint Arrow
- Iron Arrow
- Steel Arrow
- Starmetal Arrow
- Orichalcum Arrow
All of these arrows will require feathers but will need rarer metals and wood to craft. Iron arrows, for instance, will require:
- 4 Iron Ingots
- 2 Timber
- 3 Feathers
To produce better arrows, you will have to raise your Engineering Skill as well as your woodworking and mining skills to gather the higher quality resources necessary. However, depending on the town you are in, that may not be enough. The Workshop Tier level will also determine what type of arrows you can craft. A minimum of a Tier 3 Workshop will be needed to craft Steel Arrows, for example. Besides just arrows, you can also use the Workshop to craft bullets, muskets, bows, tools, and more.
