How to Make Armor in Core Keeper

Here's what you need to know about how to make your first piece of armor in Core Keeper

When you’re exploring the endless and mysterious caverns in Core Keeper, you are bound to encounter some threats. These threats may come in the form of giant bosses or little seemingly harmless slimes. Regardless of the threat level, you’ll always want to make sure you have some armor to boost your health and defenses. In this guide, we’ll show you how to make armor in Core Keeper.

How to Make Armor in Core Keeper

Here’s how to make armor in Core Keeper:

  • Craft a Copper Anvil from the Basic Workbench
  • Place the Anvil on any tile
  • Press E on the Anvil to open the crafting menu
  • Select any of the Wood or Copper armors

You will unlock progressively better defensive equipment the deeper you get into Core Keeper. When you find new metals, more armor types will unlock and become available to craft. Wood Armor will be your go-to armor-type, followed by Copper Armor, as you first delve into Core Keeper.

Wood Armor

Here are the Wood Armor recipes and stats in Core Keeper:

  • Wood Helm
    • Recipe: 7 Wood
    • Stats: +5 Max Health, +3 Armor, 35 Durability 
  • Wood Chest
    • Recipe: 12 Wood
    • Stats: +6 Max Health, +4 Armor, 75 Durability
  • Wood Pants
    • Recipe: 10 Wood
    • Stats: +6 Max Health, +4 Armor, 70 Durability

Wood is obtained from digging up the tree roots you will find infesting your starting base. You can also plant seeds to grow more of it if you want to start farming some.

Copper Armor

Here are the Copper Armor recipes and stats in Core Keeper:

  • Copper Helm
    • Recipe: 8 Copper Bars
    • Stats: +8 Max Health, +4 Armor, 90 Durability
  • Copper Chest
    • Recipe: 11 Copper Bars
    • Stats: +10 Max Health, +7 Armor, 100 Durability
  • Copper Pants
    • Recipe: 9 Copper Bars
    • Stats: +9 Max Health, +6 Armor, 95 Durability

Copper is obtained from sparkly tiles randomly found in areas around your base.
