How to increase your domain limit in Crusader Kings 3

Crusader Kings 3 has many complex systems and stats and numbers, the domain limit being one of them. The domain limit directly impacts the amount of Holdings that you personally can hold. Your domain differs to your realm, as your realm concerns all of the land owned by you and your vassals. Increasing your domain will be necessary at one point or another.

There are a few factors that influence your domain limit in Crusader Kings 3.

Stewardship is the only direct way to actually increase your domain. Every 5 points put towards Stewardship will increase your domain limit by +1. It will also increase your income through higher taxes, and so is a very important Lifestyle to work towards.

There is no other way to directly increase your domain limit in Crusader Kings 3, unfortunately, but there are a few tricks you may want to know regarding domain limit. Succession Law essentially dispenses your titles to your children when you die. The game decides this and it is out of your control (unless you have a lot of Crown Authority to make changes whilst you are still alive), however note that the oldest child will generally get the biggest portion of the kingdom, so you may want to continue as that child.

Also, if you own too many holdings, you will get negatively impacted through less taxes and popularity. To avoid this, you can grant titles to other characters. This way, you will still benefit from the taxes and the land, and your popularity will remain in tact.
