How to Get Unlimited Skeleton Keys in DMZ – Duplication Glitch

How long will this glitch last?

With every update of any Call of Duty Game, players find a way to cheat the system and obtain items in abundance or fast-track their way into levelling up Weapons, Camos and Rank. In the days of Modern Warfare 2 (2009), this was everywhere; from players finding ways to Prestige without grinding the game, to what is now seen as glitches observed and abused to the fullest until the next update in Modern Warfare 2 (2022). In DMZ, players have found ways to unlock locked spaces using the Door Breach Glitch but this is not always possible. So instead, a new glitch has been found and that is to duplicate the new Skeleton Key. Just when you thought that this was a one-time use item that you would need to find GPU after GPU to make more, COD players are back at it again with a new way to duplicate and get unlimited Skeleton Keys in DMZ. Here is how.

How to Duplicate Unlimited Skeleton Keys

The method to duplicate works for anyone and anything you are trying to get two of in your deployment. However, this method will not work if you are playing DMZ solo. You need at least one other teammate with you and unfortunately you cannot rely on a random mid-match unless they have the specific equipment you require to complete the Duplication Glitch. What you need to perform this glitch is a Secure Backpack and a Skeleton Key. You can bring in x2 Skeleton Keys with you for further Duplication.

To start the Duplication Glitch, head into the DMZ with a Secure Backpack in your standard Backpack Inventory. Have in this inventory the x2 Skeleton Keys as well. Your teammate needs the exact same Loadout. Now that you have infilled, stand with your teammates and drop your Skeleton Key(s) from your inventory. After this is done, equip the Secure Backpack by hovering over the item icon and hitting the Equip button (‘X’ on Xbox or ‘Square’ on PlayStation). Your teammate then needs to equip the Secure Backpack so that the Skeleton Keys are inside their new Backpack. Next, they must knock themselves out, most likely using Lethal Equipment so be sure to take in Grenades, Semtex or C4.

When they are knocked down, do not revive. Instead, let them bleed out, which can be done quickly via the on-screen prompt to Bleed Out. You then need to loot the dropped Backpack of your teammate and pick up all of the Skeleton Keys inside, alongside their Secure Backpack. This will meant that you have a Secure Backpack already equipped and a new Secure Backpack placed inside your Backpack Inventory, along with all of the collected Keys. With everything you need picked up, you simply need to exit the DMZ. You will note now that you will have x3 Skeleton Keys inside your Backpack if you used the Duplication Glitch with another teammate. If you want to duplicate more in a single deployment, you will want another player with you, so that you end up with x4 Skeleton Keys.

To get unlimited Skeleton Keys in DMZ this way, you will need to go into the DMZ with 2 teammates and repeat the process listed above twice. So get one player to pick up your Skeleton Keys, then get the second players to pick up the Keys and Backpack when the first dies in the deployment, and finally you pick up all of the Keys and Secure Backpack when the second player dies.

How to Use the Secure Backpack in the Duplication Glitch

An important thing to note is that players attempting this glitch will need at least x2 Secure Backpacks in your Squad to begin the glitch. Now, because you are duplicating Skeleton Keys and it requires a Secure Backpack to do so, the Backpack naturally gets duplicated also during this glitch. For that reason, no one misses out/loses a Secure Backpack upon completing this glitch. Your teammates who died for the benefit of you obtaining duplicate Keys will still have their Skeleton Keys and Backpack due to the fact that the game only punishes you if you are revived by another team and die later in the deployment after being looted by your new teammate when you were enemies.

For this glitch to work, you need to make sure that you end up with a stowed Secure Backpack in your equipped Secure Backpack, that way it can be stored and returned to your teammates should they lose it in their deployment.

That was our guide on how to duplicate Skeleton Keys in DMZ. This can be done with any item in the game however, not just with Keys. This is of course, until it will inevitably get patched up by Activision.
