How to Get to the Morgue in Dead Space Remake

Visiting a Morgue with an Alien pest that feasts on the dead. What could go wrong?

I have said previously that I don’t enjoy horror in movies and in video games as much as the average person. Not because I don’t think they have any value, I believe Dead Space is a masterpiece. But because I get a little bit, well, over emotional when playing those games, if you know what I mean. Specially if they are set in places that are eerie to begin with. A church, a cemetery, an abandoned hotel. Oh, and don’t get me started on clinics or hospitals, those are the worst! What? Are you saying we have to go through an entire medical bay today? Oh well, we are going to die, aren’t we? Here is how to get to the Morgue in Dead Space Remake.

How to Get to the Morgue

Once you have picked the Shock Pad, you must head back to the Security Station. While you pass through the Main Lab, look at one of the walls. One of them has a wall container with a Power Node inside. Once you arrive at the Security Station, use the Hydrazine Canister with the Shock Pad to make a bomb of sorts and destroy the barricade that was blocking you. You are about to enter Ishimura’s Medical Bay. Don’t get too excited though, just as you destroy the barricade, a Necromorph will be ready to kill you, so get rid of it first.

Now that you are in the Clinic, you can go ahead and find the Emergency Room. However, just as you enter the clinic, if you turn left, you will find a Plasma Cutter upgrade, so you will probably want to collect that. Go ahead and get to the Emergency Room. Once you enter the room, a holographic message of Nicole will play. After this encounter, interact with the circuit breaker to divert power to the showers. Just to the left of the circuit breaker, one of the showers will open, revealing a secret door. Use the Kinesis module to shift it. Inside, there is an Audio Log from Nicole, so listen to it. You will be tasked with another objective that is not relevant currently. You will complete it later in the game.

In order to continue and exit the Emergency Room, you will have to use your Kinesis Module to pull the power core from the wall. You will need to transfer it from one of the circuit breakers to the other. And, since you can’t have anything nice in the world, a bunch of Necromorphs will take this opportunity to attack you. Once you deal with this pest, go ahead and move the power core to the other side of the room, in order to power the ER Hallway A door. Go ahead and leave the Emergency Room.

Continue on and fight a Necromorph crawler that will appear in the way. Head to ER Hallway B. Once you do, there will be a door that leads to the Intensive Care Unit. At the end of the Hallways there will be a container on the wall with a Power Node inside, an Audio Log on the floor near the Oxygen Recharge Station and another Audio Log, next to the ICU door. Head into the ICU, save at the save station and continue. There will be an explosion that will vacuum the corridor, but the shutters seal the room almost as soon as it happens. Kill any baby Necromorphs that spawn, and then head into the elevator at the end of the room to enter the Morgue.
