How to Get the M13B in Warzone 2.0 DMZ

Entering the Radiation Zone for the Meta AR

The M13B is one of those weapons that can only be unlocked in a very specific way, that is through playing the Modern Warfare 2 Game Mode, DMZ. This standalone weapon can only be unlocked via defeating the Chemist inside the Radiation Zone of Al Mazrah. Whilst this method has remained the same since Season 1 of DMZ, the process of getting this gun for yourself can be a tricky one. If you have not yet got the M13B through battling it out with the Chemist inside the Radiation Zone, fear not, this guide will lend you some tips to aid you in the fight to nabbing yourself this weapon. This is how to unlock the M13B in Warzone 2.0 DMZ.

How to Unlock the M13B in DMZ

What Loadout to Use

As the M13B can only be unlocked via the DMZ Game Mode, players first need to create the best loadout for themselves to take with you into your deployment. You must insure your weapon slot so that if you die you get to keep your weapon. Whether you go into the deployment alone or with a squad is up to you but of course this method will be easier with a full team. We highly recommend using a Victus XMR or a hard-hitting Assault Rifle such as the ISO Hemlok with the .300 Blackout or High Velocity ammunition. Alternatively, you can place a Suppressor on your weapons so that you do not alert the AI enemies within the Radiation Zone.

If you do however opt to use a weapon without a Suppressor, you should draw the AI towards you as you fight along the perimeter of the Zone. You should not enter the Zone at this point as you will likely use up too much of the Gas Mask you have equipped or take unnecessary zone damage. You should also bring with you a Stim in case you take damage from the enemies where you need to recover fast and reposition.

What You Should Do Before Taking on The Chemist

Make sure that you first complete as many Contracts as you can within the first 10 minutes of the deployment. You should aim to complete HVT or Secure Nuclear Material Contracts as these are simple and quick to complete. This will reward you with a decent amount of money needed to purchase Armor Plates which will be essential for your fight within the Zone.

Players should try to find themselves a larger Backpack and Armor Vests which can be found across the Map through looting. Specifically, it is best to get the Special DMZ Keys which always have loot inside their locked location. You can also find these on the bodies of enemy AI, especially on those higher-levelled enemies such as Shadow Company, typically found at Sattiq Cave Complex or within Strongholds.

You should also loot equipment such as extra Stims, Self Revives and Radiation Blockers which can be found inside the Hospitals of Al Mazrah. For those looking for a Gas Mask, you can either pick one up off an enemy on the edge of the Radiation Zone if you are lucky enough to have them spawn nearby. Alternatively, you can purchase one at a Buy Station. Having all of this inside your Backpack for the next deployment is crucial to beating the Chemist.

Entering the Radiation Zone and Finding The Chemist

Now that you are ready to fight, head to the Radiation Zone in the next deployment so that the Chemist is guaranteed to have spawned there for the beginning of the match. If you are playing with a squad or solo, you have two ways to fight inside the Zone. Either lure enemies to you as you wait on the outskirts of the Zone so you take no unnecessary zone damage or equip a Suppressor and enter the Zone, performing stealth to take down any enemies you come across. The latter option however, takes much more damage and used more Gas Masks and Radiation Blockers, however it is a faster option.

Inside the Radiation Zone which is marked by the purple radiation icon in the centre of the yellow circle on the Al Mazrah map, players will get an alert that the Chemist is nearby if he has not yet been killed. You will get the location of which you can find him. Although you will know where to find him, take your time when entering the Zone as you do not want to risk being killed and having to restart your setting up process again. The Chemist is wearing a yellow hazmat suit, so keep an eye out for that when searching for this Boss.

How to Kill The Chemist

If you are using a Sniper Rifle, keep a safe distance and aim for the head to take the Chemist out. Although he has a larger health pool than others, you can easily take him out with a Sniper. If you are not using one, make sure that you utilize your Lethal Equipment and if you opted for Stuns over Stims, use this to gain the upper hand against him. Once you take the Chemist out, head over to his body and pick up his M13B which has a yellow appearance. You now need to safely exfil with this weapon in hand. Once done, the M13B will be unlocked permanently where you never have to face the Chemist again.
