I got to be honest with you, guys. I’m not a shotgun kind of guy. Usually because I like sporting a great SMG or Assault Rifle, and also because, you know, I constantly get killed by shotguns. And for obvious reasons, they are back on Modern Warfare 2 (2022). From close to middle range, the shotgun reigns supreme. And for the non-plus-ultra of the shotgun camos, the gold camo is what many players are longing for (although, there are higher tiers of camos available). So today, I’m going to show you how to get the gold shotgun in Modern Warfare 2.
How to Get the Gold Shotgun in Modern Warfare 2
There are currently 4 shotguns included with Modern Warfare 2: the Lockwood 300, the Bryson 800, the Bryson 890, and the Expedite 12. Each one of them have specific challenges to unlock the base camos in order for the golden camo challenge to be unlocked. However, since the game has been out quite recently, there is a lack of information regarding all challenge requirements for all the guns’ camos.
Having said that, the gold camo challenge for all shotguns is the same: you must have 3 kills without dying, 10 times. This is basically straightforward, but the base camo challenges are what varies between each shotgun. I’ll list all the challenges I’ve been able to find for each shotgun, and will complete the missing ones as soon as they are available. Obviously, you can continue to play the game and discover the challenges by yourself, it’s a pretty straightforward strategy to unlock camos in Modern Warfare 2. If you do, hit me up.
Lockwood 300 Base Camo Challenges
- 1st camo: 40 kills.
- 2nd camo: 40 kills with suppressor.
- 3rd camo: 25 one shot kills.
- 4th camo: 20 kills while mounted.
Bryson 800 Base Camo Challenges
- 1st camo: 40 kills.
- 2nd camo: 15 hipfire kills.
- 3rd camo: 10 double kills.
- 4th camo: 20 one shot kills.
Bryson 890 Base Camo Challenges
- 1st camo: 40 kills.
- 2nd camo: TBA
- 3rd camo: TBA
- 4th camo: 25 while crouched.
Expedite 12 Base Camo Challenges
- 1st camo: 40 kills.
- 2nd camo: 15 hipfire kills.
- 3rd camo: TBA
- 4th camo: 30 while ADS (aiming down sights).
