How to Get the Gold Sniper in Modern Warfare 2

Since the day of the Intervention, boy have I envied the ability to snipe enemies from one point of the map to the other, to do some classic hipfire kills and even a 360 no scope (those were the good days). And while my skills are questionable, to say the least, there are a lot of you that excel at sniping, so being able to sport a gold camo for your favorite sniper is surely something you would want to get ASAP. For that reason, today, I’ll show you how to get the gold sniper in Modern Warfare 2.

How to Get the Gold Sniper in Modern Warfare 2

Well, you want to have a gold sniper. That’s great! But which sniper? Available in Modern Warfare 2, we have four different snipers: the MCPR-300, the SIGNAL 50, the LA-B 330, and the SP-X 80. Not only do they have specific stats that will differentiate them between each other, but each one of them have a specific path to unlock the precious gold camo. So, first I’ll show you how to unlock the base camos for the snipers (there are four of them for each sniper), and then I’ll show you how to get the gold sniper in Modern Warfare 2 with each type of sniper available.

MCPR-300 Base Camo Challenges

• 1st camo: 50 kills.
• 2nd camo: 2 kills within 10 seconds of each other, 10 times.
• 3rd camo: 30 kills while prone.
• 4th camo: 10 hipfire kills.

SIGNAL 50 Base Camo Challenges

• 1st camo: 50 kills.
• 2nd camo: 2 kills within 10 seconds of each other, 10 times.
• 3rd camo: 30 kills while prone.
• 4th camo: 25 one shot kills.

LA-B 330 Base Camo Challenges

• 1st camo: 50 kills.
• 2nd camo: 2 kills within 10 seconds of each other, 10 times.
• 3rd camo: 25 one shot kills.
• 4th camo: 50 kills with the suppressor equipped.

SP-X 80 Base Camo Challenges

• 1st camo: 50 kills.
• 2nd camo: 20 kills, mounted.
• 3rd camo: 25 one shot kills.
• 4th camo: 50 kills with the suppressor equipped.

Gold Camo Sniper Challenge

The same challenge applies for each one of the snipers (something I’m most grateful for). You will have to have 3 kills without dying, 10 times. After that, you will unlock your Gold Camo for your sniper. Be aware that the kills for this challenge stack, which means that as long as you get a multiple of 3, it will count towards the 10 times you must repeat the 3 kills without dying.

Having said all of this, go ahead and start sniping away! The Gold Camo is waiting for you, and waiting for you to do a lot of kills. Specially those hipfire kills. Man, those are hard.
