Like in any RPG, weapon choice is incredibly important in Octopath Traveler 2. Which weapons you choose can easily determine the outcome of your playthrough, so why would you choose to arm yourself with anything but the best? Keep reading for a detailed list of all the best weapons in Octopath Traveler 2 and how to get them!

How to Get the Best Weapons in Octopath Traveler 2

While there are a lot of weapons available to players in Octopath Traveler 2, not all of them are winners. Although the Divine Weapons may seem like they’d be the best of the bunch due to their deity-like name, the truth is that the best weapons overall in Octopath Traveler 2 are the battle-tested weapons.

The battle-tested weapons beat all other in-game weapons by a landslide in nearly every category. You won’t be able to find tougher, more dependable weapons anywhere else! Fortunately, battle-tested weapons can be obtained in several different ways depending on your style and character preference.

Almost all battle-tested weapons are acquired by specific Path Actions performed on specific characters. So unfortunately, although they’re not especially difficult to get, it occasionally becomes a game of chance.

We recommend saving your game prior to using the Path Actions on characters, so you’re able to try getting the weapons again and again (if you don’t succeed on the first try). You can find the best weapons in Octopath Traveler 2, the battle-tested weapons, listed below:
