How to get Skippy in Cyberpunk 2077

There are many legendary and iconic weapons you can get in Cyberpunk 2077. Some of them require completing long quests, while others are found through exploring the open world. One of the most interesting legendary weapons in the game, by far, is called Skippy. This smart pistol features a giant holographic talking bullet. Here’s how to get Skippy in Cyberpunk 2077.

The JHKE-11 smartgun includes an experimental built-in AI with quite the attitude. Luckily, you don’t have to do much to obtain this weapon other than head to a specific area in Night City.

How to get Skippy in Cyberpunk 2077

To find Skippy, you need to visit a side job in the Vista Del Ray part of the Heywood District of Night City. It may show up as an undiscovered location on your map until you visit the area.

Head into the alley, where you’ll find a body between two dumpsters. Scanning the body yields no identity, but it does show a warning to leave the area to avoid becoming an NCPD suspect. You can find Skippy to the right of the body, inside a briefcase.

It looks a bit suspicious and gives some serious Delamain Don’t Lose Your Mind vibes. Loot the weapon to begin your customization and experience one of the coolest guns Cyberpunk 2077 has to offer.

What does Skippy do?

Skippy comes with a few features, including automated targeting that autonomously shoots enemies in range. You can choose between two modes: Puppy-Loving Pacifist or Stone Cold Killer.

The former option aims at the enemy’s lower extremities, and the latter exclusively at enemy heads. You can select either upon acquiring the weapon. After setting up your gun and listening to Skippy’s soothing melodies, you’re good to go.

Update: After getting 50 kills with Skippy, it permanently switches to the other mode. I found this out the hard way, so you may want to start on Puppy-Loving Pacifist Mode. After a while, Skippy will have some information on its previous owner for you. At that point, you’ll have the option to return it.

The best feature about this gun is that it scales to the user’s level, meaning you don’t need to spend your precious components upgrading it. The bullets also change trajectory to go around corners, Wanted style. Be careful with this weapon, though, because Skippy has a mind of his own at times. That’s how to get Skippy in Cyberpunk 2077. Enjoy!
