Where to find Silky Sand in Slime Rancher 2

Silky sand can be identified quickly through how prominent it is. Sure, its muddy color may make it blend in with the sandy environments, but its moving nature sticks it out.

Like primordy oil and deep brine, this is a resource that sprouts from the ground as if a burst pipe or a fountain. The liquid is actually sand and looks like an umbrella of mud. Once you have found a deposit, simply suck in with the vacpac and you’ll have 2 to 3 bottles of the stuff careening your way. Once you have depleted the deposit, it will stop sprouting, and you’ll have to wait for its reserves to regenerate.

Silky sand is exclusive to Ember Valley and Starlight Strand and resides only on areas of the map where the ground looks mustard yellow in color.

Farming strategies for Silky Sand

Due to being exclusive to slimmer aras of the islands, hunting for silky sand exclusively can be a bit of a chore. I would recommend when hunting for silky sand to actually hunt for any resource you can get your hands on, but prioritizing the silky sand to make sure you get some.

Set up refinery links frequently, or at least one on each island, to keep your slots free incase something catches your eye, like a gold plort or a new slime.
