Slime Rancher 2 is a very hands-on wrangling simulator. You really cannot catch a break. And it’s not even all about the slimes. Where to find primordy oil in Slime Rancher 2
Primordy oil isn’t exactly common. It can be found on either Ember Valley or Starlight Strand, but your best chances are on the former island. Unlike some other resources, primordy oil can be found anywhere, in any section of the island, however deposits of the stuff are few and far between.
There are some hotspots which you may want to remember on the map if you find them for later collection.
The cave system on the southern side of Ember Valley can be a pretty reliable place to find primordy oil.
It may also be worth searching up north and in the middle. Remember, it is a pretty rare resource and can be both in the open and slightly obscured. There is very little use searching in the volcanic third of the island, next to no primordy oil can be located there.

Tips for farming primordy oil
To really capitalize on farming primordy oil in Slime Rancher 2, you will want to make great use of refinery links. It would be best to place the link in the centre of the island in one of the open pastures.
This is because your best bet is to go up and down the island like a hawk, making use of your jetpack to fly around. Don’t neglect the cave systems as primordy oil can be quite prevalent.
Once you have done a round or two of the island, the refinery link will be in easy reach to deposit all the Slime Science resources you have amassed.
You can then go home with your slots free to carry any stray plorts along your way home to sell or contribute to Slime Science.
