As we said, the Scarab Bombs are a new explosive in Terraria Journey’s End. You can find these by crafting them, or by destroying pots or looting chests in the underground desert biome. If you want to craft these instead of trying to find them randomly, you will need a few materials.

The Scarab Bomb recipe is as follows:

  • Bomb
  • Sturdy Fossil

You can pick up Sutrdy Fossils by using the extractinator to sift through Desert Fossils. It does not look like The Demolitionist has these as a sellable item, unfortunately, so these are the only two ways to obtain it.

Scarab Bombs fire in a line to wherever your mouse cursor is, but if you move around the bombs will rotate. You can use this item to mine in a straight line, making it a super efficient way to dig tunnels. That’s all there is to it. Bewsre, because the bomb can do 80 damage to you if you stand too close to it!
