How to Get Pointed Scale in Wild Hearts

They are indeed very pointy.

A monster hunting game is always a welcome addition to our gaming world. A Japanese inspired world hunting game? Oh well, that I like, a lot. You see, the aesthetics of this game are well-defined, and the creatures we can hunt or pet are very well-designed, featuring unique traits. Being a hunter will be difficult, since there are times that these creatures, or Kemonos, get extremely difficult to deal with. Specially if we must look for them to collect a specific item for our benefit and crafting. Well, today we will address one of those material. But don’t worry, you won’t have to face any giants, for now. Here is how to get the Pointed Scale in Wild Hearts.

How to Get Pointed Scale in Wild Hearts

Among the several items you will be able to collect in the world of Wild Hearts that will act as crafting materials. The Pointed Scale is one of those. As you can imagine, you will be able to collect them from the Kemonos (essentially, beasts) that are lurking all across the map. More specifically, you will have to wait for Chapter 2. This will unlock the Akikura Canyon for you to explore.

Once you arrive at the Akikura Canyon, you will have to search for the Nightshade Monitos. They are Small Kemonos that have the form of a huge lizard. The only way to get the Pointed scale is by killing them, so go ahead and deal everything you got to defeat them. Then, collect the dropped Pointed Scales. This is one of the many farmable materials in the world.

Additionally, there is a chance that you will get a Lizard Bloom material instead after killing it. If you do, keep finding more Monitors to get the Scales. The Lizard Bloom is a guaranteed drop when you pet the Nightshade Monitor, so keep that in mind if you wish to collect that material. Finally, you can also find Pointed Scales in Fuyufusagi Fort, by killing Shardshower Monitors. They are a very similar version of the Nightshade Monitor. Again, only killing it will drop Pointed Scales.

And that’s pretty much it!! If you wish to collect those Pointed Scales for some later crafting, go ahead and visit both zones mentioned above. There are a lot of this Kemonos lurking the area, so you will have a chance indeed to collect many of this Pointed Scales while getting rid of the Monitors. Have a good one!
