But many players jumping in now for the EA Play free trial, and those getting the full game at release are wondering whether or not co-op progression is something that players can achieve together. So, today let’s talk about how co-op progression works in Wild Hearts!

How Co-Op Progression Works in Wild Hearts

Many multiplayer games out there these days create an online environment where players are free to roam and meet up with each other in order to take on massive feats and share the wealth of their splendor together. Unfortunately for players, Wild Hearts isn’t one of those massive online titles like World of Warcraft or Elder Scrolls Online, where random player interaction is something that just happens.

Like many of its kind, Wild Hearts is a host-based multiplayer experience where one player hosts a game and multiple people are allowed to join in order to help them achieve a goal. With that in mind, for most players, joining a co-op session of Wild Hearts, unless you’re the host, isn’t really going to get your progression for the story any further.

Though, there is an exception for those that are at the exact same point in the story as the host. So for friends tackling the campaign together, this could really be a driving force in the patience of waiting to play together. And you could always help each other get back to a common part of the story if you drift apart in progression.

Would it have been nice to see Wild Hearts as some big open world with wandering Kemono? Of course, but this is the direction that the devs went, and that’s worth respecting. At least there’s one silver lining though in the fact that there’s a little bit of co-op progression to be had.

So, now you should have a better understanding of how co-op progression actually works in WIl Hearts, as well as whether or not it’s for you.
