Every skill has a level cap set at one hundred, and they each have three milestones that can be reached by gaining enough points in that skill. Once a milestone is hit, you gain a new perk! For example, once you gain enough points to hit the first milestone in the Perception skill, you gain the Highlight Collectibles Perk. The Highlight Collectibles Perk is great for going out on expeditions because it ensures you won’t miss a single collectible while exploring!

Best Methods to Get Perks in I Was a Teenage Exocolonist

There are a few methods to get perks in I Was a Teenage Exocolonist, but not all of them are efficient. Only a few methods give you the best results; if you want to get more perks fast in I Was a Teenage Exocolonist, you need to use these methods:

Working in the Colony

Working in the colony is one of the easiest and best ways to earn perks in I Was a Teenage Exocolonist, partly because it can be done so early in the game. Although you can technically go out on expeditions (sneak out through the drainpipe) as early as age ten, you’ll always need to work in the colony for a few months first. Although you aren’t able to sneak outside the colony’s walls right off the bat in the game, you’ll always be able to work in the colony!

Working in the colony is great for getting perks because it allows you to focus on a single skill at a time. If you’re really gunning for a Bravery perk, for example, all you need to do is play some Sportsball for a few months to get your Bravery up. That’s all it takes! Working in the colony is a great method for people who only want to put their focus on getting a couple of perks at a time; if you’re trying to get as many perks as you can as fast as possible, however, this may not be the method for you.

Going on Expeditions

Going on expeditions is by far the best way to get perks in I Was a Teenage Exocolonist. Unlike working in the colony, expeditions have the potential to reward you with dozens of points for each skill! Working in the colony is a good way to max out a single skill in the game, because most jobs only reward you with points for a couple of skills at a time.

You can simultaneously max out multiple skills at once during expeditions (if you’re far enough in the game), so you’ll be able to get numerous perks every time you leave the colony! This is the best method for people who want to work on getting as many perks as possible. If you’re trying to max out multiple skills instead of focusing on just one, all you need to do is go on as many expeditions as possible!
