How to Get Max Weapon Level in Warhammer 40,000: Darktide

Get that weapon the attention it deserves!

Warhammer 40k: Darktide is a great and versatile team-oriented shooter game that offers tons of opportunities and upgrades for everyone. Getting good gear in this game and/or constantly upgrading it is one of the key things you need to do if you want to complete tougher missions. However, the weapons upgrade system isn’t so straightforward, so we’ve decided to break down this topic and explain to you how weapons upgrading is done and how you can reach the maximum level for your weapon.

Getting Your Weapon to Max Level

To upgrade your weapon you need to be level 4 and go to the new area that opens up for you and visit the Shrine of Omnissiah. There, you will be able to spend your Plasteel and Diamantine to upgrade weapons. Your weapon will get a new Blessing or a Perk that offers new improvements for it. Keep in mind that upgrading your weapon won’t change its basic stats, it will just add a new property.

Now, weapons will have their own stat points that can be distributed among their five bars (Damage, Mobility, First Target, Penetration, and Finesse) and those can give your weapon the maximum rating of 400. However, Perks and Blessings can push the weapon rating even further and allow it to be 560+ in theory.

You should know that maximum weapon rating doesn’t necessarily mean the strongest weapon. The individual Perks and Blessings will decide the damage and efficiency. Moreover, weapons have additional features marked Mk I, II, III, IV, etc. and those represent different speeds, attack patterns, damage, etc. of the weapon. So, for example, a lower Mk rating will give your weapon the ability to shoot two bullets at once while the higher one will improve that to three or four.
