A guide on how and where to get Glacial Starwort in Destiny 2 for The Pigeon Provides quest
How to Get Glacial Starwort in Destiny 2

You could be forgiven for not knowing about Glacial Starwort in Destiny 2. Destination materials haven’t been at the forefront of the game in years, and with the introduction of the Spider, there’s no reason for you to ever go looking for them.

However, that’s exactly what we’ve been asked to do for The Pigeon Provides quest in this year’s the Dawning. Even if you have Glacial Starwort in your inventory, the quest forces you to harvest five fresh pieces to bake into some lovely Eliksni treats.

For any new-school D2 players, this might be a bit of a problem, so I’m going to run you through how to get Glacial Starwort in Destiny 2.

How to Obtain Glacial Starwort in Destiny 2

Glacial Starwort is the destination material for Europa. You’ll be able to find it lying around Europa’s environment and get it out of Europa chests.

Generally speaking, you’re only going to get one or two pieces per source, so you’ll need to find multiple caches of Glacial Starwort to move on with the quest.

I’m not saying you need to go surveying around Europa looking for flowers growing in little pods, though. No, those days are long gone (thankfully).

Instead, inspect your Ghost. In the second slot, you’ll have a choice of different mods that all highlight either chests or materials on your screen. There’s a specific 6-cost mod called “Wombo Detector” that will highlight both. This is the mod you should be using.

Once you equip that, all you have to do is go gallivanting around Europa, keeping your eyes peeled for any directional popups on your screen. When you see one, simply follow it to the source and you’ll get a handful of Glacial Starwort.

Complete that process two or three times and you’ll have all the Starwort you need to move onto the next quest step.

This Ghost-shell mod tip applies to every planet and every material, not just Starwort and Europa. If you ever need to manually get materials rather than just buying them from Spider, throw this mod on and explore a little bit. It won’t take too long to find some.
