Arcane magic is one of the several magic types, which focuses on logic and reason to hone in the energy of the world around the caster. In Octopath Traveler, the character of your choice will be able to use this type of magic to benefit your party and to deal some obscure damage to your enemies. Let’s do this, then. How to Get Arcanist Secondary Job in Octopath Traveler 2
Getting the Arcanist secondary job and class will give the user the ability to use both dark and light skills, which vary in their uses and will postively impact the entire party. Oh yes, and it will greatly impact on your foes’ wellbeing. You will be able to get it in The Lost Isle, in the Sundering Sea (shown belo). Having said that, there are a couple of things you must do first before getting the Proof of the Arcanist.
First, be sure you have Partitio in your party (you recruit him in Chapter 1), and travel to Tropu’hopu. You will have to complete Partitio’s quest called Scent of Commerce. You will have to do this during the mid-game, preferably. Why? Well, because you will have to spend 100,000 leaves to buy the Grand Terry, a ship. However, you can do some trickery and hire the Merchant that is located in Tropu’hopu’s tavern, which will give you a discount. He will cost you 4,800 leaves to recruit, but will save you 10,200 leaves. Once you buy the ship, head to the whirlpool, and you will have to fight the Scourge. Beat him to continue on.
After defeating the Scourge, head east and then north, you will find an island with a huge maze on top of it. Well, this is The Lost Isle from the first image. Disembark there, and you will be surprised that you don’t need to navigate the maze if you don’t want to. I mean, there are a lot of chests for you, but if you want the Proof of Arcanist, then just ignore them. Notice the sign in the maze, just go to the left in a straight line. You will float towards your goal, which is the platform where the Arcanist Descendant is standing in. Talk to him and you will receive the Proof of Arcanist.
