How to Gain Access to the Restricted Area in Destiny 2 Lightfall

Of course I need a key. I'll be back.

Establishing first contact with an intelligent species is something I hope we never get to experience in real life. Imagine what would happen to us if a far superior and infinitely more intelligent civilization visits us through intergalactic travel? We are dead, dead simple (no pun intended). Anyway, a new Destiny 2 expansion is upon us, and it is time to establish first contact indeed, only on a fictitious and secure way: sitting on our couch with a controller in our hands. Here is how to gain access to the Restricted Area in Destiny 2 Lightfall.

How to Gain Access to the Restricted Area

While undergoing the new Lightfall expansion for Destiny 2, you will have to complete one of the first quests, called First Contact. Fitting, right? Well, since things aren’t always easy, and we will always find excuses to expose us to certain death and suffering, while traversing through the mission, we will encounter a locked door. How unfortunate, right? Well, at least the door is nice, with a holographic beast and all. You will require the War Beast Keycard. Fortunately, your HUD will display its exact location, and it is nearby. Just turn around and walk up the platform to jump to the second level.

Once you are there, you will notice that the key is being held by the War Beast Keymaster. Of course, a dreadful enemy guarding the key. Not only that, but you will have to deal with Honored Legionaries and with War Beasts as well. These beasts are exactly like the holographic beast you saw in the door. Aww. Let’s kill them all. The Keymaster shouldn’t be a problem really. Dispose of him and every other creature that you encounter and runs up to you, return to the door and unlock it to continue.

Continue through the door, and you will be on a zero gravity area, because you are in open space. Jump straight ahead to the platform in the middle and then to the open lower platform to the left. Odd position for a platform, but anyway. Get rid of the legionary over there and you will be all set. Have a good time with your First Contact!
