The error preventing players from joining Fortnite refers to account permissions. If you are receiving the “You do not have permission to play Fortnite” and do not have any outstanding bans, there is no need to panic. According to the official FortniteStatus Twitter, this is a known issue at the moment.

There is an ongoing issue with the Fortnite servers, and the team over at Epic Games is aware of it and fixing it. There’s nothing you can do to resolve the issue because it’s on the developers’ end. At this time, it’s best to be patient and wait for a fix to rollout. Epic Games has historically been very quick in addressing and resolving any known issues that affect a significant percentage of the player base.
