The game from Avalanche Software, Hogwarts Legacy, is quickly rising to the top of 2023’s most-wanted list. The backdrop of this game, which is set in the 1800s yet takes place in J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter universe, might give fans a new appreciation for the series’ environment. It does not, however, have to address any issues with the continuity or the plot from the books or movies. As opposed to having to strictly adhere to the Harry Potter canon otherwise, this allows the game’s narrative to have a great deal of creative flexibility. With this novel approach to the Wizarding World, each player will certainly have a distinctive experience. It may even broaden the already-established Harry Potter world.
However, Hogwarts Legacy can also be impacted by what you do in the real world. Sounds crazy, right? But Avalanche Software has announced that four in-game items will be available to players who watch certain Twitch streams about the game. Unfortunately, some people have reported that this isn’t working for them, and in this guide we cover why that may be. Keep reading if you are having issues with Twitch drops in Hogwarts Legacy!
Why Aren’t Your Twitch Drops Working?
Twitch drops can be achieved by watching specific streams on Twitch that have the ‘Drops Enabled’ tag on them. You need to watch for 2 hours to receive all of the rewards, with the first one being obtainable at the 30 minute mark. However, some players are reporting that this isn’t working for them, and this could be for a few reasons.

Firstly, it could be because the stream you are on isn’t actually connected with Hogwarts Legacy and Avalanche Software. Ask in chat to make sure it’s a real stream. Another reason why you may not be receiving rewards is because your Warner Bros. account may not be connected to your Twitch account. Here is how you can do this:
- The first step is to go to the Twitch account ‘Settings’ tab.
- Next, go to the ‘Connections’ menu under that.
- After, scroll all the way down to your ‘Other Connections’ which should include ‘WB Games Account’
- If it does not, you will not be earning rewards in the game.
