With the latest release of Destiny 2’s latest dungeon, Spire of the Watcher, comes a slew of new weapons and armor for Guardians to collect. This time around, the loot is themed around Tex Mechanica, a weapons foundry with a flair for the wild west. One of the more popular pieces that players want to acquire are helmets. As no matter what class players are: Hunter, Titan, or Warlock, all three helmets have cowboy hats on them. It’s a unique look that can dramatically change the way a guardian looks. Some players however are having trouble getting helmets for their own. We’ve put down a few methods to double-check that guardians are getting the armor that they want, with a little help from RNG of course.
Check the Postmaster
Oftentimes Guardians swear they have received an item, a helmet in this case, but can’t find it in their inventory. When there are no more slots to fit items in the player’s inventories, any outstanding loot will be sent to the Postmaster. Simply go to the Tower, HELM, or the Enclave on Mars to check any lost loot that may have been forgotten about. Odds are a helmet may be waiting for players.

Know Encounter Loot Pools
While the Dungeon as a whole offers the coveted helmet armor. Not every part of the dungeon has a chance to acquire it. Each encounter of Spire of the Watcher in Destiny 2 offers certain weapons and armor when finishing it. Only the first and last encounters in the dungeon offer a chance at the helmet. So if guardians find themselves in the second encounter of Spire, don’t expect to have the chance at a helmet when it’s completed.
Don’t Farm
Farming is a term meaning running encounters over and over again for the chance to require weapons and armor with more desirable traits. Spire of the Watcher, being the latest dungeon to come out, is now farmable. However, there is a catch. When farming, you can only get weapons and armor acquired. Meaning if you didn’t get the helmet, you can’t farm for it. Player’s best bet is to simply wait for the weekly reset for another chance.
